We’re in September. Got a few more days of summer left, but I think the worst is finally over.
I wanted to share a few more pages that I did for the comic. It’s coming along nicely. I was thinking about how to continue posting the pages. The solution came while re-reading “Lord of the Rings – The two towers”. While the script I wrote jumps from Samar and Reniard’s journey to Stijn’s, I decided to finish each of them separately and not draw the comic page by page. This way I’ll be able to post one journey to Webtoon, followed by the other.
Since Samar and Reniard’s path has more pages done, that one’s getting posted first. There’s still a lot of pages to be drawn, especially since I added a new 8-page long scene at the very beginning. I felt like the story needed this extra scene to tie it all together. At one point I started cutting away too much to make the comic shorter and easier to get done. But this story needs as much scenes as it does, and I’ll just have to come to terms with it taking forever to be told.
I plan to go through all the future plot points and events in the next few weeks and set a final book count for the comic, so I have some idea how long it’ll take me to finish it. Wish me luck.
